A twelve year old semazen Cüneyt Kaya attracted attention in this special show. The Sema show was organized by the Turkish Islamic Mysticism Community of Tourism and Culture Ministry. This performance was watched by the assistant of Baskent University’s director, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Dogan, department president of Museum and Excavation “Melih Ayaz”, the Governer of Mugla Lütfi Yigenoglu, the head official of Ortaca, Salih Yüce, and the Governer of Köycegiz, Ibrahim Çomaktekin. Before the show began, the spectators took the respectful position for one minute and then the Turkish National Anthem was pronounced. The president of archacological excavation recovery Professor Dr. Cengiz Isik explained that he was pleased and really excited to be there. The president of excavation and museum department in Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Melih Ayaz, determined that it was an important organization for work peace and with Ministry and Baskent University the studies of excavation have countinued in the Ancient city of Kaunos. As a result of these important studies they decided to organize this show for 800 guests. It is a celebration of Mevlana.
It was reported in recent research why mosquitoes bite people. According to the research, the nose of mosquitoe consists of three different organs and with these organs mosquitoes recognize chemistry in the smell of the human body. Anyone who has carbon dioxide, octane and other materials are bitten more often by mosquitoes than other people. The scientists have explained that they discovered a medicine with which they can hinder the sense of the smell of mosquitoes and they are working hard to further develop this medicine. It could be a solution for the disease malaria as well. Each year nearly 650 million individuals, especially in Africa, have this illness and nearly three million people, mostly children, die because of it. The biggest problem in Dalyan which is located in Mugla: mosquitoes. The USA put this matter on the agenda. A USA ambassador has come in Dalyan and realized this problem. He asked authorities if the municipality medicates or not and learnt that the medicating has damaged the Caretta Caretta Turtles. Because of that, it isn’t medicated as well. It has been debated whether there is any solution for this problem.
THE BOATS ARE CONTROLLED ONE BY ONE IN DALYAN CANAL More attention especially to the captain licenses. The license and the number of passenger have been checked by municipality police and the competent leader’s seaport inspection. The competent say “everyone especially the tourists are pleased because of these controls. Our aim is to warn drivers that they must have a license and we are trying to hinder stowaways. Furthermore, we have learned that in this season there is not as many accidents in the Dalyan Canal. We are sure this is because of our Captains’ carefulness and willingness to obey to the rules.

THE PRAISE OF MUD IN DALYAN
The reporter from THE SUN newspaper, Dave Morgan, was pleased with his holiday to Marmaris for 7 days and he liked it there so much that he wrote about Dalyan in his own column. Especially about the mud baths, Iztuzu Beach, the city of Dalyan, the caves of Marmaris, Cleopatra Island. He said about this mud baths “the mud smells bad and is sticky which makes that kind of holiday sound bad, but for me it was a great experience. The mud baths make people feel younger and healthier against every kind of illness, also it especially makes men feel stronger. Very important and famous people like Uma Thurman, Dustin Hoffman, and Sting have visited these curative mud baths. It has been said that these baths have a Viagra-like effect on people, but so far we haven't noticed such an effect.
FREE HEALTH CARE AT DALYAN BEACH
Health Care is given free in Dalyan Iztuzu Beach. Everyday nearly 2000 individuals have visited Dalyan Beach and this season just 415 person applied for the health care at the beach facility.
Retired government health official, Ali Hasan Yilmaz, said “people don’t pay any money for this health care which is given by us for such things as sunstroke, bee and insect bites, and allergy complaints. The tourists are surprised when we explain that these health care services are all free. The buffets at Iztuzu Beach have been run by Dalbet which is related to the Dalyan Municipality and the health care is also provided by this company at no cost.
OUR BIG FAT TURKISH WEDDING
Zekeriyya Yenilmez and Sophie Miles got married in Paradise Hotel, Dalyan on the 8th of September 2007 after a six year relationship.
They met in August 2001 and the relationship continued from there, with Sophie making six visits to Turkey during 2002, her final year in school in the U.K. The couple's phonebills during this time were very expensive!
Zeki was successfully granted his first visitors visa to the U.K in December 2002 and the couple flew back to the U.K in time for Christmas. Zeki stayed in the U.K for just over two months, returning to Turkey for the start of the new season. Sophie successfully completed her college course and joined Zeki for a long term stay in May 2003.
The couple applied for a second visitors visa and returned to the U.K together in November. Zeki spent almost six months in the U.K this time, really getting to know Sophie's friends and family.
The couple returned to Dalyan in May 2004 and decided to apply for a U.K settlement visa, regardless of the fact that they were not yet married. After seeking expert legal advise in the U.K, Zeki obtained a settlement visa for the U.K based on his relationship with Sophie as her, 'unmarried partner,' one of the first and only successfully granted visa's of this kind.
The couple settled in the U.K, Sophie commencing a university degree in Graphic Design that she has recently completed to 2-1 standard, and Zeki setting up a very successful tiling and maintenance business that has enabled the couple to buy their first house just outside Cardiff last year.
On Saturday September the 8th Sophie and Zeki finally got married surrounded by their friends and family in beautiful Dalyan, with more than 70 people flying from the U.K to witness the event.
The couple haven't taken the easy route, but the honest one, and it has all been worth it in the end.

The owner of Kardak Tourism “Özay Akdogan” started this new Project and this idea draws attention the tourist in Dalyan. Özay Akdogan bought projection system for 5000 ytl and in quay he represents every evening till one o’clock in the morning. The movies are about the caretta caretta and Dalyan.
