BUSINESS AWAITS TOURISTS May has ended but so far tourists are not coming in large numbers . Last year the World Cup and bird flue had a bad impact on the season but this year hopes were high. There are no reasons why this year should be bad but business so far is suffering from an absence of tourists visiting the shops and restuarants. The cost of credit to buy stocks for the season is crippling and tourists income is needed to support local business - But hopes are high and there are visitors like these Scots here who bring a welcome joy and vitality to the town.
